Nothing OS 3.0 open beta launched about a month ago for the Nothing Phone (1) and Phone (2a) Plus. With the new year, the stable version rolled out for the Nothing Phone (2a) Plus. Now, Nothing has expanded the release, bringing Nothing OS 3.0 to two more devices: the Nothing Phone (1) and its sub-brand CMF Phone 1.

Nothing OS 3.0 based on Android 15 introduces several exciting features, including enhanced customizations, shared widgets, a redesigned app drawer, and more. Nothing mentioned that the system will optimize in the background during the upgrade to improve the user experience. Temporary overheating and higher power consumption might occur but will return to normal once the upgrade is complete.

The firmware update is rolled out in phases, so not all users will receive it at the same time. This phased rollout helps monitor and fix any issues for a stable experience.

To update, go to Settings > System > System Update.
