Nothing Phone (3) is all set to launch on July 1. Just a few days ago, the company teased a zoomed-out image of the phone’s back panel. Now, tech journalist Max Jambor has shared a full rear view of the device on Twitter, revealing a triple camera setup. But there might be a twist—let’s take a closer look at what this leak could really mean.
Nothing started its smartphone journey with a transparent back design that showcased the internal hardware, a style continued with the recent Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. If the latest leak is accurate, the upcoming Nothing Phone (3) appears to follow the same design language. However, Nothing has already confirmed it plans to move away from the GLYPH lighting system, with reports suggesting it may be replaced by a new Dot Matrix setup. Interestingly, this isn’t visible in the leaked design.

The camera module shown in the leaked image looks somewhat similar to the one on the Nothing Phone (3a) Pro. While it doesn’t appear as large, that could be due to the top-down view, making it resemble the base 3a model. It seems like a blend of both designs. What’s more, this design matches an earlier prototype shown in one of Nothing’s official YouTube videos. This raises another question—could the leak be showing an outdated prototype, and will the final Nothing Phone (3) design be different?
Tech journalist Debayan Roy also pointed out a few concerns. As the Nothing Phone (3) is expected to be a premium device, the presence of a plastic frame in the leaked image seems odd. Additionally, the phone is rumoured to support wireless charging, yet there’s no visible sign of this feature in the design.
All of this adds more doubt about the authenticity of the leaked image. We’ll likely get clarity as the launch date approaches—or on launch day itself. Until then, it seems Nothing will continue playing its teaser game.
