Samsung has a history of releasing enhanced “s” versions of their midrange smartphones, though it’s been a while since the last one. The last notable release was the Samsung Galaxy A52s, which offered better performance than the original A52. According to recent leaks, Samsung is now working on a new “s” version, this time for the Galaxy M55.
Samsung launched the Galaxy M55 a few months ago in March, and now the M55s is on its way, having recently been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance. The M55s carries the model number SM-M558B, while the Galaxy M55 has the model number SM-M556B. This indicates that the M55s will be a higher-end variant of the M55.

The upcoming Galaxy M55s will support dual-band Wi-Fi, as confirmed by its recent certification. Beyond this, we don’t have many details about its other specs, and it’s unclear how it will differ from the M55. However, we assume that it might feature a better chipset for improved performance. This assumption is based on critical reviews from users on online shopping sites like Amazon and Flipkart. Many users have complained about heating issues and poor battery performance, which causes the battery to drain quickly.
The Galaxy M55 features a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display with 120 Hz refresh rate and 1,000-nit brightness. It runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor with 8/12GB RAM and 128/256GB storage. The phone includes a triple rear camera including 50 MP main camera with OIS, 8 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro, a 50 MP selfie camera, and a 5,000 mAh battery supporting 45W wired charging.
