Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy M56 in India, the successor to last year’s Galaxy M55. The new Galaxy M56 comes with several upgrades, including an upgraded chipset, improved design, and new features. Let’s take a closer look at all the changes.
Display and Design Improvements
The Samsung Galaxy M56 features a 6.74-inch Super AMOLED+ display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate. According to Samsung, the bezels are now 36% slimmer, giving it a more immersive viewing experience. The screen is also 33% brighter, although the exact brightness in nits hasn’t been revealed.
In terms of design, the phone is slimmer than before—measuring just 7.2mm thick, which is 0.6mm thinner than the M55. It weighs 180g—same as the M55—but 18g lighter than the Galaxy A56. Samsung has also added Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on both the front and back for added durability.
Samsung Galaxy M56 Performance
The Samsung Galaxy M56 is powered by the 4nm Exynos 1480 processor. Samsung claims it includes a 33% larger vapor cooling chamber to help maintain better thermal performance during intensive use. The device is available in two storage variants—128GB and 256GB—paired with 8GB of RAM. It supports the latest LPDDR5X RAM for faster performance and UFS 3.1 storage for quicker app loading and file transfers.
Camera and Battery
The Galaxy M56 features the same rear camera setup as the M55, including a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. However, the selfie camera has been downgraded from 50MP to 12MP. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 45W fast wired charging.
Software Updates and AI Features
The phone comes with Android 15 and the latest One UI 7 right out of the box. Samsung promises 6 years of software and security updates, offering long-term support. The phone also includes smart AI features like Object Eraser, Image Clipper, and Edit Suggestions to enhance your photo editing experience.
Samsung Galaxy M56 Price, Colors, and Availability
The Galaxy M56 is available in two color options—Black and Light Green. It starts at a price of ₹27,999 in India. The phone will be available for purchase starting April 23 on Amazon.in. Customers using HDFC credit or debit cards can avail an instant ₹3,000 discount.
