Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy S25 Ultra on January 22 next year, and excitement is already building. With leaks, rumors, and early details pouring in, the latest updates focus on its camera setup. While Samsung hasn’t significantly updated its camera hardware in recent years, a new leak reveals precise details about the sensors for its upcoming flagship.
Tipster AssembleDebug recently shared camera sensor details for the Galaxy S25 Ultra on X. According to the report, the ultrawide camera is the only notable upgrade in the setup. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature a new 50MP ISOCELL S5KJN3 sensor with a 1/1.57″ optical size, replacing the previous 12MP sensor.
Meanwhile, the rest of the camera sensors will stay the same. These include the 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP2 primary sensor, a 10MP Sony IMX754 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, a 50MP Sony IMX854 periscope telephoto sensor with 5x optical zoom, and the familiar 12MP selfie camera.
In November, Samsung introduced an innovative telephoto camera technology called ALoP (All Lenses on Prism). This advancement rearranges the lens and prism structure to deliver sharper portraits in both day and night settings. However, it remains uncertain whether the Galaxy S25 Ultra will include this technology. Fingers crossed for a surprise!
