Oppo introduced its foldable smartphone, the Find N3, back in 2023. Now, the company has teased its successor, the Find N5, skipping the number 4 as it’s considered unlucky in China. Pete Lau shared a teaser on X, showcasing the Find N5’s slim design, reportedly thinner than a pencil. The Find N5 is expected to launch next month, in February.

In the foldable smartphone market, the Honor Magic V3 currently holds the title of the thinnest foldable, with a 4.35mm thickness when unfolded and 9.2mm when folded. Based on the teaser, the Oppo Find N5 might feature an even slimmer design, with an unfolded thickness of around 4mm and a folded thickness of under 9mm.
Oppo Find series product manager Zhou Yibao revealed that the Find N5 will feature a 3D titanium alloy hinge for enhanced durability. Leaked images of the Find N5 in a protective case also showcase its camera design, with a periscope lens positioned at the top left and a flash located in the bottom right.

The Oppo Find N5 is expected to debut internationally as the OnePlus Open 2 a few months after its launch in China. The smartphone is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, a 50MP triple rear camera setup, a 6,000mAh battery, and fast charging options of 80W or 100W wired and 50W wireless. It will run on Android 15 with ColorOS 15.
